Parliament in the Mist


February 20, 2018. One thing I like about Ottawa is driving by the Parliament Buildings just in the course of an everyday day. Here I'm driving over the Alexandra Bridge after a workshop in Gatineau and traffic was slow enough (ie., stopped) to allow me to take this photo of Parliament as seen from the river, with the Parliamentary Library front and centre. https://flic.kr/p/23aNyRR

March 22, 2024. Print by someone known as 'Ryan 100' in our room at the Brookstreet. I liked it, through it looked like it was water damaged. It was still the best art in the room. Worked through the morning, drove home at lunch (much easier!) and spent the afternoon working from home. Dow's Lake

March 2, 2024. The frozen surface of Dow's lake with a sheen of meltwater on it. This was a view as I took an 11 km ride on my new bicycle today. First ride of the year, first ride on the new bike.
